CUT & PITCH ROOFS
Specialist Cut & Pitch Roof Carpenters
Traditional cut and pitch roofing is at the heart of what we do.
Pitch Perfect specialises in the setting out and construction of timber roof structures for new builds, extensions, loft conversions and complex residential projects across London, Kent, Surrey and Essex.
From straightforward pitched roofs to large structures with multiple hips, valleys, dormers and structural steelwork, we have the experience to take on technically demanding roof carpentry.

Cut & Pitch Roofing Is Our Speciality
TRADITIONAL ROOF CARPENTRY
Unlike prefabricated roof trusses, a traditional cut and pitch roof is constructed on site from individual timbers. Rafters, ridges, hips, valleys and supporting members are measured, cut and assembled to create a roof specifically for the building.
It is a skilled form of roof carpentry that requires accurate setting out, a strong understanding of roof geometry and the ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings correctly.
Pitch Perfect has specialised in this type of work since 2006. We are regularly brought onto projects where the roof is too large, unusual or complicated for general carpentry teams, and our experience includes everything from extensions and loft conversions to luxury homes and roof structures exceeding 500m².
Complex hips, valleys, different roof levels, dormers and structural steelwork are all part of the work we undertake.
Complex Roof Structures, Built on Site
OUR CAPABILITIES
Our experience allows us to take on traditional roof structures ranging from straightforward pitched roofs to large and technically demanding projects. We work from architectural and structural drawings and coordinate the timber structure with steelwork and other structural elements where required.
Have a particularly complex roof? Send us your drawings and we’ll take a look.
A Straightforward Approach to Roof Construction
Drawings & Review
Send us your architectural and structural drawings. We review the roof design, structural requirements and scope of work before preparing our price.
Planning the Roof
Before starting on site, we consider the roof geometry, structural details, steelwork and any areas that require particular attention.
Construction
Our roof carpenters set out, cut and construct the roof on site, working accurately from the drawings while dealing with the practical details that only become apparent during construction.
Completion
We complete the roof structure ready for the next stage of the build, working with the site team to resolve any outstanding details and keep the project moving.
Roof Carpentry for Builders, Developers & Homeowners
Pitch Perfect works with a wide range of clients across London, Kent, Surrey and Essex, from individual homeowners to builders and developers delivering multiple properties on the same site.
Builders
We regularly work as the specialist roof carpentry team within larger building projects, taking responsibility for the roof structure and coordinating with the wider site programme.
Developers
From single luxury homes to multi-property developments, we provide reliable roof carpentry for projects where programme, workmanship and consistency are critical.
Homeowners
For extensions, loft conversions and larger roof alterations, we work directly with homeowners who want an experienced specialist to take care of the structural roof carpentry.
